Am 1.12.1847 wurde das Gaswerk als erste Einrichtung dieser Art in Bayern am Plärrer eröffnet. Einziger Zweck war die Straßenbeleuchtung, später - ab 1890 - kamen weitere Anwendungsbereiche der Gasversorgung hinzu. Das zunächst privatwirtschaftlich geführte Unternehmen wurde nach wechselnden Eigentümern am 1.10.1871 von der Stadt Nürnberg erworben, die notwendige Erweiterungen durchführte und einen Neubau in Sandreuth errichtete, wo das neue Gaswerk am 1.10.1904 seinen Betrieb aufnahm. Nach der Umstellung der Nürnberger Gasversorgung auf Erdgas wurde die letzte Anlage 1975 stillgelegt. Der vor 1979 ins StadtAN gelangte Bestand enthält neben Geschäfts- und Vertragsunterlagen umfangreiche Überlieferungen zu einzelnen Baumaßnahmen (z.B. Anschluss hydraulicher Aufzüge an die städtische Wasserleitung) technische Unterlagen und Daten, Verbrauchs- und Messaufzeichnungen, sowie einzelne Pläne und Fotos der technischen Anlagen.Die technische Aufbereitung und Verzeichnung in die FAUST-Datenbank erfolgte 2005/2006.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
