Regest: Joachim Hagk, Vogt, und die Schöffen des Gerichts Bracht und Kaldenkirchen bekunden, daß die Eheleute Heinrich Lywen und Giert von Arnold Bütgens, der im Einverständnis mit seinem Vater Gerardt Bütgens handelt, 110 Taler leihen und deshalb verpflichtet sind, fortan alljährlich am Feste des hl. Andreas oder innerhalb der nächsten 14 Tage, erstmalig 1568, an Zinsen 5 1/2 Taler zu erlegen. Zum Unterpfand für die Schuldsumme und die verfallenen Zinsen setzen die Eheleute 3 1/2 Morgen Land in Kaldenkirchen, zwischen den Liegenschaften des Gerhard Bouten und des Pettergen Theiß, dem neuen Pfad und der Heide gelegen. Da die genannten 110 Taler von Gerardt Bütgens erblich seinem Sohn Arnold überlassen wurden, so wird für den Fall, daß Arnold ohne Nachkommen sterben sollte, bestimmt, daß sodann das Kapital samt Zinsen den Kindern, die von Gerardts verstorbener Tochter Steyn und ihrem ebenfalls Gerardt geheißenen Manne stammen, gebühren solle.
