Es handelt sich um den Tag, an dem eine Gruppe Royalisten unter der Führung des Baron de Christiani die Anwesenheit des Staatspräsidenten Loubet beim Pferderennen zum Anlass nahm, vor Ort eine Demonstration anlässlich der Dreyfus-Affäre gegen ihn zu organisieren, bei der Loubet von Baron de Christiani auf der Tribüne angegriffen wurde.
