Vorwort: Die Landsässerei Weihersberg (Gde. Trabitz, Lkr. Neustadt a.d.Waldnaab) war ab 1425 im Besitz der Familie Löneiß, 1563 wurde sie an die Familie von der Grün verkauft. Diese verkaufte sie um 1640 an die Familie von Hirschberg (Hans Wilhelm). Sie umfasste die Orte Weihersberg und Zessau. 1819 wurde ein Patrimonialgericht I. Klasse, 1831 ein Patrimonialgericht II. Klasse gebildet (Gerichtsorte waren: Grünbach, Neumühl, Weihersberg und Zessau). Der Bestand umfasst 51 Archivalieneinheiten mit einer Laufzeit von 1683 bis 1848. Briefprotokolle: Briefprotokolle Eschenbach: 401-434. Verwiesen sei auch auf den Bestand „Freiherren von Hirschberg Amtsbücher und Akten“.
