In June 2025, the Rhineland Division of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Archives launched the two-year subproject “Transformation of Wiedergutmachung” (restitution/compensation for National Socialist injustices).
In the section "Archives introduce themselves" we present the various data providers of Archivportal-D and link to their holdings. We are happy that the archive of the Neubiberg Muncipal Archive is participating!
As descendants of people persecuted by the Nazis, they followed in the footsteps of their family members who once lived in the Bavarian capital. The exploration of their Munich roots also took them to the Main Bavarian State Archives.
Archives join Archivportal-D for the first time on a regular basis. Archives already present on Archivportal-D increase the data from their holdings. With this series we want to present quarterly updates on the growth of archival information on Archivportal-D.
