Am 03.05.1945 Besuch des Majors J. Blum im Konzentrationslager Flossenbürg. Am 23.04.1945 wurde es durch die 3rd US Army erreicht. Normales Fassungsvermögen des Lagers: 4.000 Menschen. Am 16.04.1945 brachten die Deutschen von Kommandos wie Bayreuth, Weiden, Altenhammer etc. sowie vom Konzentrationslager Buchenwald Häftlinge nach Flossenbürg, von denen das Konzentrationslager Buchenwald 6.000 verließen, jedoch nur 4.500 in Flossenbürg ankamen. Die zahlenmäßige Stärke der Häftlinge betrug 16.000. Vom 16.04.1945 - 20.04.1945 wurden Massen von Juden und transportfähigen alten Häftlingen mit unbekanntem Ziel verschickt; sie wurden durch US-Truppen befreit. Ca. einige tausend Franzosen aus dem Transport befinden sich jetzt in Cham, S. E. Weiden.
