Bestandsgeschichte: Die Akten wurden 2001 von Herrn Edgar Denkmann, Mitarbeiter beim Senator für die Finanzen und langjähriger persönlicher Referent von Claus Grobecker, an das Staatsarchiv abgegeben. Sie stammen aus Grobeckers Tätigkeit als Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestags sowie als Gewerkschaftsvertreter im Aufsichtsrat der AG Weser und des HAPAG-Lloyd. Sie wurden bis etwa 1983 geführt und danach nicht mehr fortgesetzt. Die vorliegende Titelaufnahme greift, wo möglich, auf die vorgefundene Beschriftung der Ordner und Hefter zurück, um die bei der Abgabe vorgefundene Ordnung so gut möglich abzubilden.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
