Der Bestand beinhaltet Archivgut des Jesuitenkollegs an St. Mariä Himmelfahrt in der Marzellenstraße, welches 1544 gegründet und 1773 wieder aufgehoben wurde.
Neben 166 chronologisch gereihten Urkunden aus den Jahren 1393-1786 findet der Benutzer auch fünf Aktenstücke aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert.
Dieser aus Düsseldorf übernommene Bestand ist ein Teil des einstigen Jesuitenarchivs, der sich überwiegend in den zu Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts erstellten Findmitteln nachweisen lässt (vgl. dazu Best. 223). Die Urkunden betreffend Oberwesel und Damscheid befanden sich zeitweilig sogar im Staatsarchiv Koblenz.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
