Sammlung Emil Leitner
Emil Leitner wurde am 27. Januar 1887 in Wien geboren. Um 1908 unterhielt er mit einem Geschäftspartner das fotografische Atelier Winkler & Leitner in der Leipziger Straße 40, eröffnete aber schon drei Jahre später ein eigenes Atelier in der Wilmersdorfer Straße 78, mit dem er später an den Luisenplatz 5a/5b in Charlottenburg umzog. Die letzten Monate des Zweiten Weltkrieges verbrachte Emil Leitner in Stralsund, kehrte aber im August 1945 nach Charlottenburg zurück. Im September 1948 übersiedelte er nach Vlotho in Westfalen.
Emil Leitner war auf Architektur- und Kunstfotografie, später auch auf Industrie- und Reklame-Aufnahmen spezialisiert.
Die Landesbildstelle kaufte die Sammlung 1975 an. Die Sammlung ist separat aufgestellt. Zum Teil lassen sich erschlossene Motive über den Allgemeinen Gebrauchskatalog sowie in Architekten-Nachlässen ermitteln.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
