Der Einzelbestand enthält überwiegend Unterlagen, die von Frau und Herrn Mauser als den derzeitigen Inhabern der Bindergass-Apotheke (früher Apotheke zum Goldenen Stern, nachgewiesen seit 1569) mit Leihvertrag vom 19. Juni 1991 dem Stadtarchiv als Depositum zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Diese Archivalien - fünf Privilegien, ein Rezept- und ein Rechnungsbuch - beziehen sich, vielleicht mit Ausnahme des Rezeptbuchs, das hierüber keine Aussage erlaubt, auf das sogenannte Irnsinger oder Nürnbergische Heilpflaster und stammen aus dem Besitz der Familien Gruber und (als deren Erben) Endter. Eine Verbindung der Familien Gruber oder Endter mit der Apotheke zum Goldenen Stern läßt sich für den angegebenen Zeitraum nicht nachweisen.Dem Einzelbestand zugeordnet wurde außerdem ein Standortverzeichnis der Chemikalien der Sternapotheke aus dem 18. Jh., das als Leihgabe des Germanischen Nationalmuseums in das Stadtarchiv gelangt ist.
