Enthält: Beim Durchzug der französischen "Durassischen" Armee im Winter 1672 hatte Jacob Lopetz, der Schwiegersohn von Johann Geiß, bei den Eheleuten Johann Tings und seiner Frau Margarete Vollers in Kerpen, seine Schafe untergestellt. Zum Dank hatte er ihnen dann eines davon geschenkt. Nun geriet gerade dieses Schaf in den Verdacht, eine Viehkrankheit eingeschleppt zu haben. Deshalb lässt das Ehepaar Tings, das von Lopetz zu Zeugen benannt worden war, durch Wilhelm Voiß und Winand Wirts, "beide alte Schäfer", die Schafherde besichtigen. Sie bezeugen, dass sie "keine Unreinigkeit befunden (haben)".
