Vorbemerkung: Aufgrund der frühen Auflösung des Forstamtes nach dem 2. Weltkrieg sind nur noch wenige Unterlagen dieser Herkunft vorhanden. Der Bestand beinhaltet Unterlagen zur Verwaltung des Forstamtes sowie des Staatswaldes, der Gemeindewälder Au am Rhein, Bietigheim, Iffezheim, Illingen und Plittersdorf und in geringem Umfang von Privatwald. In den Bestand 392 Rastatt wurden Unterlagen aus den Beständen 392 Zugang 1980-29, 392 Zugang 1980-75, 392 Zugang 1991-49 und 442 Zugang 2004-103 eingefügt. gez. Dr. Jürgen Treffeisen (Juni 2008)
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
