Das Verzeichnis ist gegliedert in Rüstungen, verschiedene Arten von Feuerwaffen, Klingenwaffen, Spieße, stumpfe Hiebwaffen und mehrere Sammelkategorien, mit Angaben zu folgenden Objektarten:
- Rüstungen und Rüstungsteile aus Metall und Leder;
- Feuerwaffen (Pistolen, Gewehre, Geschütze) aus Metall und Holz, mit Verzierungen aus Perlmutt, Bein, Metall und Edelmetall;
- Klingenwaffen (Schwerter, Rapiere, Säbel, Messer, Dolche, Äxte) aus Stahl, Gold, Silber und Holz;
- Stangenwaffen (Speere, Spieße, Piken, Hellebarden, Partisanen, Zündruten) aus Holz und Metall;
- Stumpfe Hiebwaffen (Hämmer, Kolben, Pusikane) aus Holz und Metall, z. T. mit Griffumfassung aus Leder oder Textilien, u.a. aus dem Besitz von Sebastian Schertlin von Burtenbach;
- Feuerwaffenzubehör (Pulverflaschen, Pulverhörner, Flaschenhalfter, Ladestöcke, Patronen u.a.) aus Holz, Leder, Metall, Silber, Bein, z. T. mit Überzug oder Quasten aus Samt oder Seide, u.a. aus dem Besitz des Erasmus von Venningen;
- Modelle aus Holz u. vermutlich Metall;
- weitere Werkzeuge und Waffen (Schilde, Bogen, Peitschen, Hörner, Sättel, Steigbügel, Zaumzeug, Brenneisen, Laternen, Lampen, Tierfallen u.a.) aus Holz, Leder und Metall.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

‘Verfolgt’ refers to a person who submitted a compensation claim for damage caused by Nazi persecution. If the application was submitted by a person other than the persecuted person, this other person is designated as ‘antragstellend’ and their relationship to the persecuted person, if there is one, is noted. In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
