Form und Inhalt: Der Bestand 7 bildet die älteste Überlieferungsschicht des Rektorats der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität und ist damit zusammen mit Bestand 1 (Zentralverwaltung, Kanzler) einer der zentralen Bestände für die Gründungszeit der Universität. Er deckt den Zeitraum bis 1974 ab.
Die Akten zu Bestand 7 wurden am 25.9.1974 (Zug. 15/1974) an das Universitätsarchiv abgegeben. Die Abgabeliste wurde von Frau Meyes erstellt. Dr. Siggemann begann mit Vorarbeiten für ein Findbuch. Im Oktober 2012 wurden Abgabeliste und Findbuchvorarbeiten in einer Archivsoftware zusammengeführt. Die Verzeichnung wurde von Julia Flohr (Tietz) im November 2014 überarbeitet und ergänzt.
Kassationen wurden nur in wenigen Ausnahmefällen (etwa Doppelstücke von Unterlagen der Westdeutschen Rektorenkonferenz) durchgeführt.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
