Friedrich von Baden erhielt die Propstei gleichwohl nicht, vielmehr blieb Hermann von Hessen auch als Erzbischof noch in deren Besitz; vgl. die betreffende Genehmigung Herzog Wilhelms II. von Jülich-Berg, 1481 (= Kurköln, Urkunden Nr. 2906), und die Bestätigung Papst Sixtus IV. nebst den übrigen auf Hermanns Propstei bezüglichen Stücken, 1474-1481
