Dr.-Ing. Christian Schmid wurde am 1. 5. 1930 Assistent bei Prof. Wunnibald Kamm. 1. 10. 1934 stellvertretender Leiter des Forschungsinstituts für Kraftfahrwesen und Fahrzeugmotoren Stuttgart (FKFS). Ab 1935 Vorlesungsvertretungen für W. Kamm, 1938 - 1945 Lehraufträge für die Gebiete Kraftfahrzeuge, Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, geländegängige Kraftfahrzeuge. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg Inhaber eines Ingenieurbüros in Stuttgart. 1954 Mitglied der Geschäftsführung der Friedrich Krupp Motoren- und Kraftwagenfabrik in Essen. 1965 - 1970 Mitglied des Wissenschaftlichen Beirats des Battelle-Instituts e.V. Franfurt/Main.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings.
