Enthält: Am 7.3.1727 klagt die Witwe von Johann Jaixen gegen Adam Werres, dass er ihr sechs Rtlr (à 80 Albus) und 12 Albus für Bierbrauen und Bierlieferung schulde. Das Gericht setzt ihm einen Termin von 8 Tagen, die Schuld zu begleichen. Mit der Bereitschaft zur Zahlung offeriert dieser jedoch eine Forderung an die Klägerin, die aus einem "Teilzettel" [Schuldschein] seines Verwandten ("Vorsatz"), des +M. Heinrich Kraux, und Anna Zündorff an den +Ehemann der Klägerin, Johann Jaixen, für ihm bar vorgestreckte 5 Rtlr herrühre. Die Klägerin hält Werres jedoch entgegen, dass er ihr über die 6 Rtlr hinaus noch 5 Rtlr schulde: aus einem Kredit von 14 Rtlr und 2 Rtlr für eine Zahlung an den "Kollman", die mit der Übertragung von einem Viertel Land bis auf diesen Restbetrag abgetragen seien. Im Verlauf streiten sich die Prozessgegner vor allem um die Zuverlässigkeit und Glaubwürdigkeit der gegenseitigen Aufzeichnungen. Das Gericht entscheidet am 16.3.1728 zugunsten des Beklagten (das Urteil ist nicht überliefert). Dagegen appelliert Witwe Jaixen nach Düsseldorf. Die Appellation wird angenommen und das Kerpener Gericht angewiesen, die Akten abschreiben "undt jedes absonderlich consignirt also zeitlich verabfolgen zu laßen, daß dieselbe einer ordnungsmaßiger Zeith bey hiesigem hochgräflichen Appellations Commissariat eingebracht werden können".
