Bestandsgeschichte: Landtagsfähiges Gut, Samtgemeinde Dörpen (Landkreis Emsland) zum Bezirk der Burg Nienhaus gehörig; seit Ende des 14. Jhs. im Besitz der Herren von Campe, genannt Westerholt; 1403 Teilung unter Brüdern, seitdem zwei gleichnamige Häuser; Haus I 1534 durch Erbschaft an die von Brawe zu Schleppenburg; Haus II durch Erbschaft an die von Baumbach zu Homburg gelangt; wurde 1611 von Heinrich von Brawe zurückgekauft; 1695 durch Erbschaft an die Familie von Dincklage.
