1. Verwaltungsgeschichte/Biographie: Günter Dähnel wurde 1930 geboren und war von 1950 bis 1953 Student der Technischen Lehranstalten Chemnitz.
2. Bestandsbeschreibung: Die Unterlagen von Günter Dähnel wurden dem Universitätsarchiv von dessen Bruder Volkmar Dähnel im März 2007 als Schenkung angeboten und am 12.03. übernommen. Volkmar Dähnel wurden nach dem Tod der Mutter alle vorhandenen Unterlagen vermacht.
Sie enthalten Vorlesungsmitschriften aus seiner Studienzeit an den Technischen Lehranstalten Chemnitz, Fachrichtung Spanlose Formung von 1951 bis 1953. Die einzelnen Mitschriften sind allerdings nicht datiert. Mit Hilfe der Studentenakte und der hier vermerkten abgeschlossenen Fächer wurden die Mitschriften genauer datiert. Die überlieferten Zeichnungen sind datiert.
