Schatzungen sind i.d.R. landesherrliche Abgaben, die durch der Fürstbischof nach Beschluss der Landstände in den Kirchspielen seines Territoriums erhob. Die Stadt trat hier als Gesamtschuldner auf und besorgte das Einsammeln in den Stadtvierteln, den sog. Leischaften. Im 16. Jh. wurden die Abgaben halbjährlich gesammelt, später dann als Monatsschatzung (erhaltene Beispiele für Monatsregister vgl. A VIII Nr. 259d, Nr. 117 und A VIII Nr. 259g, Nr. 102), die in Jahresbänden der Leischaften zusammengefasst wurden (hier Klass. 08.07.02-08.07.07), die wiederum in Gesamtschatzungsregister einflossen (hier Klass. 08.07.01). The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
