Vorwort: A Rep. 244-07 Sicherheitsdienst (‚SD'), Gau Groß-Berlin
1. Institutionsgeschichte
1931 wurde von Reinhard Heydrich ein eigener Dienst zur Überwachung gegnerischer Parteien und Organisationen eingerichtet, der später so genannte ‚Sicherheitsdienst'. Seit 1937 sammelte er im Inland Angaben über weltanschauliche Gegner, gab sog. ‚Leithefte' und vor allem die ‚Meldungen aus dem Reich' heraus, interne Stimmungsberichte für politische Instanzen.
Gestapo- und Kripo-Mitarbeiter, die der SS angehörten, wurden zugleich immer auch als SD-Angehörige geführt.
2. Bestandsgeschichte
1997 gab das Bundesarchiv eine Serie ungeordneter Unterlagen Berliner Herkunft, die sich im ehemaligen NS-Sonderarchiv der Stasi befunden hatten, an das Landesarchiv Berlin ab.
Aus diesen Unterlagen wurde 2009 u.a. auch ein Bestand A Rep. 244-07 ‚Sicherheitsdienst (‚SD'), Gau Groß-Berlin' gebildet.
Der Bestand umfasst 0,45 lfm, die nicht erschlossen sind.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
