Die Bilder unterschiedlicher Größen sind teilw. mit W.Soemmerring sign. und vor-und rückseitig aufgeklebt. Die Datierung reichen von 1799-1848, die meisten aus den Jahren 1802-05. Evtl. stammen nicht alle von ihm. Es handelt sich um Aquarelle, Bleistiftzeichnungen, Gouachen u. Radierungen. Motive sind überwiegend Tiere, Pflanzen und Landschaften. Dabei auch eine Rötelzeichnung, die das Portrait der Mutter, Mary Soemmerring, geb. Grunelius, zeigt, die 1802 starb. Montiert sind auch 2 Holzstiche einer Bekassine, die womöglich von dem Engländer Thomas Bewick stammen (um 1805). In kindhafter Schrift steht auf dem Vorsatzpapier: Bilder für Soemmerring 1871, damit ist evtl. der Urenkel Samuel Soemmerrings -Adolf- gemeint.
