Vermerke (Urkunde): (Voll-) Regest: Die zwei alten, freien Häuser zu Schmalkalden [Stadt, Lkr. Schmalkalden-Meiningen] gegenüber dem Renthof mit Garten, Hofreite, Stadel und allem anderen Zubehör zu Erbrecht. Ein Haus hatte ehemals der verstorbenen Anton Steitz von dem Stiftsverwalter zu Schmalkalden, das andere Haus derselbe Anton Steitz von Adam Pleß gekauft. Die beiden Hofreiten hatte Anton Steitz mit Zustimmung des verstorbenen Grafen Georg Ernst von Henneberg ehemals mit einer neuen Behausung von Grund auf neu bebaut. Es ist ein jährlicher Erbzins von einem Ort eines Guldens um Michaelis herum und einem Fastnachtshuhn zu entrichten. [Ehemals Lehen der Grafen von Henneberg]
