Der Bestand setzt sich aus Akten, Urkunden, Repertorien und Handschriften des Klosters Groß St. (Maria zu) Nazareth aus den Jahren 1347-1802 zusammen. Dieses entstand aus einer zwischen 1284 und 1293 gegründeten Beginengemeinschaft, die auch "Schelenkonvent" genannt wurde, und lag an der nördlichen Seite der Gereonsstraße. Nachdem sich die Gemeinschaft 1426 der Augustinerregel unterstellt hatte, ordnete sie der Papst den Schwestern vom gemeinsamen Leben zu. In dieser Form bestand der Konvent bis zu seiner Auflösung im Jahr 1802.
Der Bestand umfasst insgesamt 88 chronologisch gereihte Urkunden aus den Jahren 1347-1765, 12 Aktenstücke zur Vermögensverwaltung des Stiftes (darunter mehrere Einnahme- und Ausgabeverzeichnisse) und zwei Kopiare.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number.
