Enthält: Gegen den Münzmeister von Rietberg namens Hans Konerman ist auf kaiserlichen Befehl eine Untersuchung wegen Falschmünzerei eingeleitet, die Dr. Konrad Betzdorff und Gottschalk Frechen in Köln führen. Der Münzzeichenschneider Peter Baum soll Konerman dabei geholfen haben. Der Rat in Münster stellt Ermittlungen in Emden, Hamburg und Bremen an. Baum wird verhaftet und in Schönefliet gefangen gesetzt. Hier wird er am 12.12.1570 von dem Drosten zu Wolbeck, Ludger von Raesfeld, dem Domkapitelsyndikus Lic. Johan Schade und den domkapitularischen Gografen Christian Lennep und Johan Uphuis in Gegenwart der Zeugen Philipp Toppeshoff und Walter Hagenstert verhört. Er wird entlassen, später aber vom Rat in Münster wieder verhaftet und am 26. Januar 1571 vernommen. Der Rat berichtet an den Kaiser. Am 21.7.1571 wird als der Mittäterschaft verdächtig der Jude Berndt aus Warendorf verhört. Erwähnt werden Wilbrand Nagel; Kaufmann Mathias Werkmann in Ulm; Goldschmied Hans Ordelman in Cöln; Thomas Timpe in Minden.
