Inhalt und Bewertung
Der Bestand enthält Unterlagen zur Verwaltung des Staatswaldes. Die Betreuung des Körperschaftswaldes ist ebenso wie Betreuung des Privatwaldes nur mit einigen wenigen Unterlagen überliefert.
Vorbemerkung: Die Unterlagen des Staatlichen Forstamtes Steinbach kamen bereits 1988 und 1991 in das Generallandesarchiv Karlsruhe. Der Bestand wurde mit Unterlagen aus den ehemaligen Beständen 392 Zugang 1988-38, 392 Zugang 1991-49, 392 Zugang 1991-50, 392 Zugang 1991-51 sowie 392 Zugang 1991-52 neu gebildet. Der Bestand enthält Unterlagen zur Verwaltung des Staatswaldes. Die Betreuung des Körperschaftswaldes wird ebenso wie Betreuung des Privatwaldes nur mit einigen wenigen Unterlagen überliefert. The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
