Vorwort: 1. Biographie
Der Architekturmaler Hermann Julius Bechdoldt wurde am 21. April 1822 geboren. Hermann Bechdoldt heiratete in zweiter Ehe Katharina Jacob (4. August 1855 - 29. Dezember 1941). Beide hatten zwei Kinder: Johann Hermann, geb. 1893, und Marie, geb. 1892. Hermann Bechdoldt starb am 06. November 1895 und wurde auf dem Dorffriedhof Gatow beerdigt.
2. Bestandsgeschichte
Das Landesarchiv Berlin erwarb den Nachlass 1985 aus Privathand.
Enthält:
Hermann Bechdoldt: Denkschriften und Zeitungen (1842-1892).- Literarische Arbeiten.- Reform der Maltechnik (1885-1890).- Ansichten und Stiche.- Politische Tätigkeit (1868-1891).- Bau des Reichstags (1883-1888).- Dombau.- Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal.
Johann Hermann Bechdoldt: Zeitungsausschnitte über General Karl Litzmann (1914-1936).- Banknoten (1922-1941).
Korrespondenz (1833-1843).- Grundstücksangelegenheiten (1831-1943): Kronenstraße 23, Frankfurter Straße 120 und Landhaus Breidablick und Bauernhof in Gatow.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
