Autographensammlung Max Dietze (Briefe anhaltischer Fürsten und Herzöge) (Bestand)
Bestandsinformationen: Die vorliegende Sammlung wurde im Februar 1962 dem damaligen Landesarchiv Oranienbaum vom Stadtarchiv Bitterfeld übergeben. Die Autographen trug der ehemalige Leiter des Bitterfelder Heimatmuseums Max Dietze zusammen. Die Herkunft der einzelnen Stücke ist unbekannt. Es handelt sich größtenteils um Originalschreiben anhaltischer Fürsten privaten Inhalts. Darunter ist eine große Zahl von an den Gesamtarchivar und Kanzleidirektor Hermann gerichteten Schreiben, die vermuten lässt, dass Dietze in den Besitz eines Teilnachlasses von Hermann gelangt ist. Darüber hinaus sammelte Dietze aber auch weitere ihm zugängliche Briefe aus jüngerer Zeit.
In der Mehrzahl handelt es sich um Gratulations-, Kondolenz- und Dankschreiben. Hervorzuheben ist eine Ausarbeitung von Georg Heinrich von Berenhorst über die Erziehung des Erbprinzen Friedrich von Anhalt-Dessau aus dem Jahr 1785 mit einem eigenhändigen lobenden Zusatz des Fürsten Leopold III. Friedrich Franz.
