Inhalt und Bewertung
Die Stadt und das 1781 reichsunmittelbar gewordene Kloster kamen 1802 an die Reichsgrafen von Quadt, die Hoheit erhielt 1806 das Königreich Württemberg.
Der Bestand enthält teils 1827 aufgrund von Aushebungen Lotters aus dem städtischen Archiv eingekommene, teils 1887 antiquarisch erworbene Archivalien der Reichsstadt Isny, außerdem einige Archivalien zur Geschichte des 1096 gestifteten Benediktinerklosters Isny (hauptsächlich abschriftlich, z. T. nach Originalen im Fürstlich-Quadt'schen Archiv zu Isny).
Isnyer Archivalien befinden sich außer im Stadtarchiv Isny auch im Fürstlich-Quadtschen Archiv zu Isny, weitere Archivalien der Malstatt Isny des kaiserlichen Landgerichts im Bestand B 58.
