Geschichte des Bestandsbildners: Am 1. Januar 2009 wurde das Landesamt für Landwirtschaft, Umwelt und ländliche Räume errichtet. Aus zehn aufgelösten Behörden – dem Landesamt für Natur und Umwelt, den Ämtern für ländliche Räume in Husum (mit Außenstellen in Flensburg und Heide), Kiel und Lübeck (mit Außenstelle in Itzehoe), den Staatliche Umweltämtern in Itzehoe (mit Außenstelle in Lübeck), Kiel und Schleswig sowie den erst 2008 geschaffenen Forstbehörden Nord in Schleswig, Mitte in Neumünster und Süd in Bad Schwartau – wurden die Aufgabenbereiche Landwirtschaft, Fischerei, Gewässer, Naturschutz und Forst, Geologie und Boden, technischer Umweltschutz und ländliche Räume übernommen. Anfangs gab es einen Hauptsitz in Flintbek sowie Außenstellen in Flensburg, Heide, Itzehoe und Lübeck.
Geschichte des Bestandsbildners: 2011 kam es zu weiteren Konzentrationen mit nachfolgenden Benennungen in "Hauptsitz Mitte" in Flintbek, "Außenstelle Nord" in Flensburg, "Außenstelle Südwest" in Itzehoe und "Außenstelle Südost" in Lübeck. Die drei Außenstellen wurden in der ersten Zeit auch jeweils mit "Standort" bezeichnet. Weitere, kleinere Außenstellen bilden die Unteren Forstbehörden in Flensburg, Neumünster, Eutin und Mölln, die Fischereiaufsicht in Kappeln, Husum, Büsum, Kiel, Heiligenhafen und Travemünde sowie die Integrierten Stationen für Naturschutz mit den Bezeichnungen "Westküste" in Schlüttsiel und Büsum, "Geltinger Birk" in Nieby, "Eider-Treene-Sorge" in Bergenhusen, "Holsteinische Schweiz" in Eutin, "Unterelbe" in Haseldorf und "Lauenburgische Landschaften" in Mölln.

When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person.
