Das Forstamt Ober-Ramstadt wurde am 31.12.1975 aufgelöst, wobei sein Zuständigkeitsbereich auf das Forstamt Jugenheim überging.
Teile des ehemaligen Forstamts Ober-Ramstadt bzw. Jugenheim bilden nach der Umwandlung der Hessischen Landesforstverwaltung in den Landesbetrieb Hessen-Forst im Jahr 2001 die Forstreviere Nr. 154 Ober-Ramstadt und 156 Seeheim-Jugenheim des Forstamts Darmstadt.
