Enthält: Vor dem Friedensgericht Kerpen klagt Peter Joseph Reifs auf Schadensersatz für einen Knecht, das Geschirr für ein Pferd und einen Wagen, die er und Peter Fuß zu Fuhrdiensten im Auftrag des Bürgermeisters ausgestattet hatten. Der Karren samt Pferd waren aber auf der Fahrt abhanden gekommen. Reifs fordert nun die Erstattung mindestens der Hälfte der Kosten für den Knecht, den Wert des Pferdegeschirrs, das er Fuß geliehen hatte, und des entstandenen Schadens. Er beruft sich dabei auf die Grundsätze der Gleichheit ("egalité") und des gemeinen Rechts ("sie pereat res, quae utrumque aequaliter concernit, perit utrique nequid partibus" = wenn eine Sache verloren geht, die jeden von beiden gleichermaßen betrifft, geht einem von beiden etwas von seinen (An-)Teilen verloren). Der Beklagte bittet zunächst um Aufschub und bietet dann an, sich zu vergleichen.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person.
