Form und Inhalt: Der vorliegende Bestand enthält die Kriegsgefangenenkartei der Stadt Tübingen. Das vorgedruckte Formular der Karteikarten enthält u.a. die Rubriken: Name, Dienstgrad, Geburtstag, Geburtsort, Entlassungstag aus der Gefangenschaft, Beruf, Anschrift, Politische Betätigung.
Die Karteikarten sind in 7 großen Kartons verpackt, aber nicht durchgängig alphabetisch geordnet, sondern in mehrere Abteilungen (z.B. Heer, Marine, Dienstgrade etc.) gegliedert; Karton A 498/6 enthält außer den Karteikarten chronologische Verzeichnisse der entlassenen Kriegsgefangenen. Karton A 498/7 enthält eine Abteilung mit Karteikarten von Angehörigen der SS, SA, NSKK, RAD. Der Bestand ist unverzeichnet.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
