Vorwort: P Rep. 373 Standesamt Rudow
Das Standesamt Rudow wurde 1874 mit dem Sprengel der Landgemeinden Rudow, Schönefeld und Johannisthal gebildet. Von 1892 bis 1896 bestand lediglich noch die Zuständigkeit für die Gemeinden Rudow und Schönefeld. (Die Zuständigkeit für Johannisthal wechselte zum Standesamt Kietz bei Köpenick.) Ab 1897 gehörte die Gemeinde Diepensee zum Sprengel; 1899 erweiterte sich die Zuständigkeit erneut und umfasste nun Rudow, Schönefeld, Diepensee, Kleinziethen und Großziethen. Mit der Bildung der Stadtgemeinde Groß-Berlin 1920 verblieb beim Standesamt die Zuständigkeit für Rudow.
Allgemeiner Hinweis: Die Personenstandsregister, Namensverzeichnisse und Sammelakten werden erst nach Ablauf der gesetzlichen Fortschreibungsfristen von 110 Jahren (Geburten), 80 Jahren (Eheschließungen) bzw. 30 Jahren (Sterbefälle) archiviert. Der Überlieferungsstand im Landesarchiv Berlin entspricht diesen Vorgaben mit einer möglichen Verzögerung von ein bis zwei Jahren.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
