Personenbeschreibung: Johanna Schmidt-Grohe (1924-2009) wirkte bereits als Kind in einer Kindersendung bei der Deutschen Stunde in Bayern mit.
Ab 1951 arbeitete sie als freie Mitarbeiterin für den Bayerischen Rundfunk, insbesondere für den Schul-, Frauen- und Familienfunk, die Redaktion München sowie die Bayernabteilung. Schwerpunktmäßig beschäftigte sich Johanna Schmidt-Grohe in ihren Sendungen mit Architektur und Stadtplanung.
Der Stiefvater von Johanna Schmidt-Grohe, Helmut Grohe, (1893-1977) war neben seiner Tätigkeit bei der Deutschen Stunde in Bayern, dem Reichssender München und dem Bayerischen Rundfunk u.a. Vizepräsident der Hans Pfitzner Gesellschaft. Vor seiner Karriere beim Rundfunk arbeitete er als Regisseur, Dramaturg und Dirigent an verschiedenen Opern und Theatern in Deutschland. Von 1928 bis 1930 war er persönlicher Referent des Intendanten der Deutschen Stunde in Bayern, von 1929 bis 1935 arbeitete Helmut Grohe als Hauptsachbearbeiter in der Musikabteilung. Im Reichssender München übernahm er die Leitung der Musikabteilung, ab 1949 arbeitete er als freier Mitarbeiter beim Bayerischen Rundfunk. Von 1950 bis zu seinem Ruhestand im Jahr 1958 war er der Leiter des Schallarchivs beim Bayerischen Rundfunk.
