Vorwort: Nach zahlreichen Besitzwechseln ging Thann (Gde. Neunburg vorm Wald, Lkr. Schwandorf) im Jahr 1813 an Sebastian Wenceslaus Ignatz Freiherr von Schrenk, der es von Michael Gillitzer (Inhaber seit 1793) gekauft hatte. 1819 wurde das Patrimonialgericht II. Klasse Thann und Hillstett gebildet, das 1848 an den Staat fiel. Der Bestand umfasst 22 Archivalieneinheiten mit einer Laufzeit von 1816 bis 1848.
