Die Akte beinhaltet die chronologisch und alphabetisch sortierte Geschäftskorrespondenz Hertz' zu Berliner Museen zwischen 1952 und 1959 (s.u.). Sie ist durch Registerblätter gegliedert.
Inhalt der Schreiben sind zumeist Verkaufsangebote, Lieferscheine, Leihanfragen, Preislisten, Bestellscheine, Rechnungen, Mahnungen und Fragen bezüglich verschiedener Ausstellungsorganisationen. Mit dem Direktor des Haus am Waldsee, Dr. Skutsch, findet ein reger Austausch bezüglich der 1956 anstehenden Laurens-Ausstellung statt.
In der Akte befindet sich auch die Todesanzeige von Dr. Karl Ludwig Skutsch, datiert auf den 18.08.1958. Hertz bekundet in einem Brief vom 23.08.1958 Dr. Anneliese Skutsch sein Beileid.

BZK no.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
