Das Einregistrierungs- und Domänenbüro Ravenstein, dessen Verlegung nach Geinert zeitweilig im Gespräch war (Roerdepartement Nr. 3068, lfd. Nr. 151; Roerdepartement Nr. 3105, lfd. Nr. 15 b), war ursprünglich zuständig für die beiden Kantone Ravenstein und Gemert mit Boxmeer. Seit dem 23 brumaire an VII (13. November 1798) war es zuständig für die Kantone Ravenstein, Gemert und Horst. Die Kantone Ravenstein und Gemert wurden auf Grand eines Vertrags zwischen Frankreich und der Batavischen Republik, geschlossen am 15 nivôse an VIII (5. Januar 1800), an letztere abgetreten und von ihr am 22 ventôse an VIII (13. März 1800) in Besitz genommen (Roerdepartement Nr. 3069, lfd. Nr. 565). Der Kanton Horst, der als einziger Bestandteil des Büros Ravenstein übrigblieb, brachte nach Urteil des Domänendirektors zu wenig ein, als daß sich die Errichtung eines eigenen Büros für um gelohnt hätte, und so wurde er wieder dem Büro Geldern eingegliedert (ebd. lfd. Nr. 594, Nr. 633). Der Empfänger des Büros Ravenstein hielt sich, seiner Anweisung entsprechend, noch eine Zeitlang in Ravenstein auf, wurde dann jedoch von der Regierung der Batavischen Republik zum Verlassen des Ortes aufgefordert (ebd. lfd. Nr. 633) und fon der französischen Regierung zum Empfänger des Büros Grevenmacher im Wälderdepartement ernannt (beide lfd. Nr. 633, Nr. 766).

BZK no.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.

This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
