Bestandsgeschichte: 1927/8 wurde an Stelle des Arbeitsnachweisamtes für den Kreis Grafschaft Schaumburg eine Nebenstelle des Arbeitsamtes Stadthagen in Rinteln eingerichtet. Die Nebenstelle wurde 1945 dem Arbeitsamt Hameln angegliedert. 1959 wurde der nördliche Teil des Kreises Grafschaft Schaumburg mit Krainhagen und Obernkirchen dem Arbeitsamt Stadthagen zugeordnet. Stadthagen richtete dafür in Rodenberg und Bad Nenndorf neue Nebenstellen ein. Nach Umwandlung des Arbeitsamtes Stadthagen in eine Nebenstelle des Arbeitsamtes Hameln wurden 1962 die Stadt Bückeburg und die Gemeinde Seggebruch in den Zuständigkeitsbereich der Dienststelle Rinteln überführt. Im Anschluss an die Gebietsreform wurden Bückeburg und Seggebruch 1981 wieder der Dienststelle in Stadthagen, die Stadt Hessisch Oldendorf jedoch dem Arbeitsamt in Hameln zugeordnet.
