Die Blues and Royals sind das in der Rangordnung der britischen Armee zweite aktive Regiment nach den Life Guards. Sie bestehen erst seit 1969, als zwei Kavallerieregimenter mit langer Tradition, die Royal Horse Guards (The Blues) und die Royal Dragoons (The Royals) zusammengelegt wurden.
