Aber während die Gemeindevertretung in Harksheide sofort zustimmt, gibt es in Glashütte von der "Unabhängigen Wählergemeinschaft" Widerstand, so dass der Zusammenschluss nicht zu Stande kommt. Dennoch sprechen sich die SPD-Kreistagsfraktion sowie die SPD-Fraktionen aus [Name maskiert] Gemeinde ebenfalls für die Fusion aus. Nach der Beratung über die Möglichkeiten der Raumneuordnung, beschließt die CDU-Kreistagsfraktion ebenfalls, dass das Zusammengehen der beiden Gemeinden die, laut der CDU-Kreistagsfraktionsvorsitzenden und Schönningstedter Bürgervorsteherin [Name maskiert] praktikabelste Lösung ist und spricht dahingehend eine Empfehlung an [Name maskiert] aus.
