Bestandsgeschichte: Der Oberschullehrer Wilhelm Behrens (geb. am 27. September 1886 in Uelzen) war vor dem Krieg am Staatlichen Realgymnasium in Leer tätig und wurde 1932 an das Ulricianum in Aurich versetzt. Seine Ehefrau Frieda (geb. als Frieda Lichtsinn am 05. Mai 1886 in Weene) stammte aus dem Kreis Aurich. Beide Eheleute waren 1935 bzw. 1936 wegen Beamtenbeleidigung vor dem Schöffengericht bzw. dem Landgericht Aurich angeklagt und trotz Berufung an das Oberlandesgericht zu Celle zu einer Freiheitsstrafe von anderthalb Jahren verurteilt worden. Die umfangreichen Prozeßakten dazu (StA Aurich, Rep. 109 D, Nr. 629) finden sich ebenso wie eine Personalakte des Ulricianums (StA Aurich, Rep. 171, Nr. 199) und eine Wiedergutmachungsakte (StA Aurich, Rep. 252, Nr. 2420) im NLA-Staatsarchiv Aurich.
Der hiesige 1966 ins Archiv gekommene Nachlass umfasst in erster Linie seine Tätigkeit als Mitglied der Niedersächsischen Landespartei im Kreistag von Stade. Er baute die Partei zusammen mit Heinrich Hellwege mit dem Ende des 2. Weltkriegs in Stade auf, zog sich aber bereits Mitte 1947 wegen Differenzen mit Hellwege wieder aus ihr zurück. Aufgrund des Endes seiner Abordnung ging er Ende 1947 an seine alte Stelle als Lehrer nach Aurich zurück, wo er 1951 krankheitshalber vorzeitig in den Ruhestand ging. Er war, wie die Korrespondenz zu Anfang der sechziger Jahre zeigt, jedoch weiterhin am Wiederaufbau der inzwischen untergegangenen Niedersächsischen Landespartei und der alten Deutsch-Hannoverschen Partei, der er wie seine Frau Frieda bereits vor dem Krieg in Leer/Ostfriesland und wie auch sein Bruder Fritz in Uelzen angehört hatte, interessiert.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
