Beck wurde von seiner Mutter Christine Barbara Beck, geb. Merger, geb. Dez. 1762 in Plochingen, unehelich geboren. Sie heiratete den Korbmacher Johannes Beck, geb. 11.06.1762 in Winnenden. Der Sohn wurde durch das Oberjustizkollegium am 14.11.1810 legitimiert (adoptiert).
