Vorwort: 1. Biographie und Bestandsgeschichte
Marie Beyer wurde am 15. Juli 1904 in Löwenbruch (Kreis Teltow) geboren. Sie besuchte die Dorfschule und war anschließend drei Jahre als Landarbeiterin auf dem Gut des Herrn von Knesebeck in Löwenbruch tätig. 1924–1934 arbeitete sie in der Spinnstoffabrik Zehlendorf AG in Teltow. Im Dezember 1931 heiratete sie den Zimmermann Fritz Liese und wohnte seitdem mit ihm in Berlin-Lichterfelde. Sie war dann als Postangestellte beim Postamt Berlin-Lichterfelde und in Berlin-Treptow tätig. 1950 wurde sie von Fritz Liese geschieden und heiratete 1953 Willi Beyer.
Sofort nach dem Kriegsende 1945 half Beyer mit, die zerstörte Stadt zu enttrümmern. Für ihre vielen geleisteten Arbeitsstunden beim Aufbau Berlins, ihr Engagement im Wohngebiet und in der Masseninitiative „Schöner unsere Städte und Gemeinden – Mach mit!“ erhielt sie mehrere hohe Auszeichnungen.
Am 16. Januar 1986 übergab Marie Beyer dem Stadtarchiv Berlin ihren Nachlass.
2. Bestandsbeschreibung
Der Bestand enthält ihren Lebensbericht 1904-1986. Akten zu ihren Ehrungen und über die Mitwirkung Marie Beyers an der Enttrümmerung Berlins und der Teilnahme am Nationalen Aufbauwerk (NAW) mit Zeitungsartikeln und Fotos runden den Bestand ab. Der Bestand enthält neun Akten (0,30 lfm) mit einer Laufzeit (1927) 1979–1986. Er wurde mit der Software Augias-Archiv verzeichnet und ist über die Findmittel Datenbank und Findbuch zugänglich.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
