Lebensdaten: Der Schauspieler Richard Gustav Busch (24.9.1857 Berlin - 15.1.1918 Münster) war seit 1892 am Lortzing-Theater Münster engagiert, nachdem er zuvor (seit 1889) im Sommertheater gastiert hatte. Seit 1877 bis kurz vor seinem Tod hat Busch kontinuierlich Tagebücher geführt, die insbesondere Informationen zur münsterischen Theatergeschichte beinhalten. Darüber hinaus hat Busch eine umfangreiche Bibliothek zur Theatergeschichte angelegt. Die Stadt Münster hatte diese Bibliothek bereits 1919 aus dem Nachlaß angekauft. Über einige Umwege kam die Bibliothek 1968 endgültig in den Besitz des Stadtarchivs Münster.
