Geschichte des Bestandsbildners: Der Verband wurde im Juni 1919 als Dachorganistion der Länder- und Provinzialverbände der Waldbesitzer mit Sitz in Berlin gegründet und 1934 im Zuge des Aufbaus des Reichsnährstandes aufgelöst.

Inhaltliche Charakterisierung: Neben allgemeinen Akten zu Organisation und Tätigkeit 1919-1935, zu Beziehungen zu den Mitgliedsverbänden 1918-1934 und Forstangelegenheiten 1920-1934 enthält der bestand Unterlagen der Mitgliedsverbände Landesverband Preußischer Waldbesitzer 1902, 1911, 1919-1933, Brandenburgischer Waldbesitzerverband 1919-1934 und Schleswig-Holsteinischer Waldbesitzerverband 1919-1934.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.

This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
