Enthält: Der Absender drückt sein Beileid über den "Heldentod" von Westerdorfs Bruder aus und bittet nun um Rückgabe von dessen Mitgliedsbuch der Reichskammer der bildenden Künste. Des Weiteren bedauert er zu hören, dass Westerdorf einige seiner Werke durch einen Bombenschaden verloren hat. Der Absender erzählt außerdem wie viele Aufnahmeanträge die Kammer momentan bekommt, vor allem von frisch ausgebildeten Künstlern. Auch haben sie viel mit der Begutachtung von Kriegsschäden zu tun; das Kriegsschädenamt erhält Auskunft über den Wert vernichteter Arbeiten. Westerdorf solle sich wegen eines Gutachtens ruhig an die Kammer wenden. Als weiteren Punkt spricht er drei erfolgreiche Ausstellungen zwischen Dezember 1943 und März 1944 im Folkwang-Museum mit dem Verein Essener Künstler und Kunstfreunde an, doch die Zerstörung des Museums habe dem auch ein Ende gesetzt. Kleinere Wanderausstellungen sind stattdessen geplant.
