Already for the fifth time, a workshop took place at the end of this year, which regularly brings together representatives of the archive community as well as (archive) portals with providers of archive software to exchange experiences.
The Archivportal-D celebrates its birthday. On 24 September 2014, it was ceremonially released during the opening event of the 84th German Archive Day in Magdeburg. Since then, the platform has undergone continuous development and today offers a comprehensive range of archive information and digital archive material.
The Saxon State Archives were established according to the "Act on the Modernisation of the Saxon Administration and the Simplification of Administrative Laws" on 1 January 2005. It comprises the departments Central Tasks/Principle (with Archive Centre Hubertusburg), Main State Archive Dresden (with State Branch Archive Bautzen), State Archive Leipzig, State Archive Chemnitz and Bergarchiv Freiberg.
After numerous other regional churches, the Protestant Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck (EKKW) founded its own archive in 1994. The church books from almost all parishes of the EKKW are used here.
