With over four hundred archival records from a wide variety of holdings, the Archives of the Archdiocese of Bamberg have recently been added to our „Weimar Republic“ topic portal.

In the section "Archives introduce themselves" we present the various data providers of Archivportal-D and link to their holdings. We are pleased that the Müther-Archiv is included!

In our portal guide, we have compiled national and international portals on cultural assets (with a focus on archival holdings) and regional studies. Here you will find, among other things, further regional research systems for archives, sorted by federal states. We are pleased to present one of these portals today - historicum.net - Fachinformationsdienst Geschichtswissenschaft - and thank historicum.net for providing the following text.

Together with museums, libraries, media libraries and the preservation of historical monuments, we have succeeded in collecting more than 30 million objects from over 400 different cultural institutions from all over Germany in the German Digital Library (DDB). For one third of the objects there is also a digital version. Cultural objects can thus be accessed directly as images, audio or video.

On March 18, 2019, project team representatives from the Federal Archives, the State Archives of Baden-Württemberg and FIZ Karlsruhe - Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure presented the project structure and first results after about nine months of project duration during a one-day workshop in the Federal Archives Koblenz.
